Mimi Memo

Privacy Policy

Word for word the same as the Privacy Policy inside the app (Settings → Privacy Policy).

What Mimi collects

What you choose to keep, your account details (name and email), and the data the app needs to run correctly (device, version).

What Mimi does not do

It posts nothing on your behalf, does not read your private messages elsewhere, and sells no data to anyone.

Who can see your content

Only you, unless you deliberately set a set to Anyone with the link, Public, or invite someone to keep it with you.

Storage

Your data is stored on Mimi servers and synced between the devices you sign in on. When you delete it, it is removed from the servers within 30 days.

Voice recordings

The microphone turns on only when you tap record in the app, and turns off the moment you tap stop. A recording is kept the way everything else is: on your device, and on Mimi servers if you are signed in to sync. Mimi does not identify voices, does not turn speech into text, and does not hand your recordings to anyone else.

When Mimi uses AI

Three things use the AI service Mimi rents: sorting Unfiled (only when you tap it), the "What you care about" cards and the Portrait letter in the Reverie tab (they run when you open that tab and your library is large enough). What goes out is each item's title, source, short note and the time you kept it. Photos, voice recordings and full article text never leave your device. The last two run only while you are signed in; signed out, nothing leaves. The AI service may not train on your data, and Mimi sells data to no one.
